Dental check-up Sydney

Dental Fillings Sydney

It is important to attend your regular dental appointments to help keep your gums and teeth healthy. We want to help you keep your oral hygiene in tiptop condition; hence when you visit us for your check-up, we can assess any issues while they are small before they turn into bigger and more complex problems. At Sublime Dental®, we emphasise the importance of preventive dental care to save your oral hygiene and your savings.

How Often Should I Visit?

We recommend visiting us three to four times a year, unless you find that you’re experiencing discomfort between visits, or you are seeking further treatment. Dental check-ups are a necessity for good oral health as many dental problems go unnoticed because you cannot see or feel them. If you are experiencing some form of discomfort, it is likely that the problem is in the more advanced stages and you should visit a dentist immediately. Regular dental visits allow us to detect and treat the early signs of an oral issue such as cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer, before they become unmanageable.

High-Risk Patients

Some patients are referred to as ‘high-risk’ and will need to visit a dentist more often than others due their lifestyle factors such as smoking, pregnancy, diabetes, weak immune response to bacterial infection, patients that have gum disease, patients that have a tendency to get cavities or build up plaque quickly, and patients that do not follow a regular oral maintenance schedule.

Dental Check-ups

We only want the very best for our patients and their health! Dental check-ups are necessary to ensure the longevity of your oral health. During our dental check-ups you can expect to have your mouth thoroughly inspected for cavities, gingivitis, species of normal bacteria, and other irregularities.

Dental Cleans

When you come in for your dental check-up we can also provide you with a professional dental clean! This means that along with a thorough oral check-up, we can scale back any unwanted plaque and prevent other conditions such as gingivitis and periodontal disease from forming, simply by using our water-pick and fluoride treatment. Although you may regularly clean your teeth by brushing and flossing, you cannot remove the hardened tartar with routine cleaning.
